Our attitude and self-image in this regard:

At ‘Stieler-Haus’, the unrestricted accessibility of the website stielerhaus.de is very important to us. All people with and without disabilities must always be equally able to obtain comprehensive information about the hotel and its offers and to make use of the offers presented. We therefore declare our willingness to publish this information, although in our opinion only so-called ‘public bodies’ are obliged to do so in accordance with EU Directive 2102 and the German implementing provisions.

Current status of compatibility with accessibility requirements:

Our website of the ‘Stieler-Haus’ is essentially compatible with the requirements of the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) in the currently valid version. The comprehensive revision of the website and the subsequent review are based on a self-assessment, which was carried out with the help and use of various technical aids. We are guided by the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA and are also continuously implementing optimisation measures to make all digital offerings accessible.

The technology we use:

We use various techniques and tools to improve digital accessibility. These support the following functions, among others: Contrast settings and font enlargement | Keyboard navigation and focus highlighting | Structured content and alternative texts | Support for assistive technologies.
These functions help to make the content of our website more intuitive and easier to use for all guests.

Any barriers that may still exist:

Despite the care taken, there may still be minor restrictions in individual areas.
For example, this may affect older PDF documents, individual form fields, embedded content from third-party providers that is not yet fully accessible, etc. However, we are constantly working to improve these areas in terms of accessibility, insofar as we have any influence over them.
